I wrote more than 100 articles that made a lot of money.
I achieved my dream of making writing my full-time job.
I became a top writer on 10+ topics.
I wrote several viral articles.
It all happened in the span of six months. I actually changed my life in this short time.
I have been writing since 2020 and I didn’t see any traction until I adopted these 4 easy habits six months ago.
1. Using a Hi-Tech Device to Fake Self-Belief Five
Poor mornings won't kill your day, but they will cause a lag in your productivity. If you doubt your self-worth and dreams every morning, you're less likely to have a productive day.
You can't get rid of your self-doubt, but you may act as if you do. Baby, fake it 'til you make it!
I developed an odd morning ritual that lifted my self-esteem to new heights. Mel Robbins, the self-help queen, recommends it. This practise provided me the confidence to complete the task at hand. That put an end to my self-deprecating monologue in which I listed every reason why I was unworthy.
This habit will take you less than 20 seconds to complete, so you can do it even if you're in a hurry.

Stand in front of the mirror.
Ask yourself, “what does this human needs from me today?”
Say a simple task that will make your day better, out loud.
And then Hi-Five your mirror self.
That's it; with this simple routine every morning, you can overcome your severe self-doubts and pessimism. This simple habit increased my self-esteem and gave me the courage to pursue writing even if I had no fans.
2. A Quick Remedy for a Tensed Mind
Writing is a cognitively taxing endeavour. You must continue drilling until you strike the gold nugget.
A topic on which you are eager to write. Most of our thoughts are bad, and the remainder are repeated, so it takes time to come up with a decent idea.
You must nurture your mind with good material, but you must also learn to swiftly refresh your mind after a writing session.
To be honest, I'm absolutely worthless after the first draught. It makes no difference if I only took 20 minutes. It's a given that I'll squander time until I guilt-trip myself into returning to work unwillingly.
I discovered the most guilt-free approach to renew my thoughts. Do the absolute minimum of activity to boost your energy and productivity.
Here’s what you can do:
Walk down a few flights of stairs.
Do 10 squats.
Walk around and listen to a podcast.
Walking is the entryway to excellent thought, therefore anytime I feel stuck on an idea, I go for a brief stroll. These simple actions provide my subconscious some well-deserved time to reflect on the issue at hand. They assist me in simplifying the work.
3. A One-Minute Deception
For two years, I didn't tell anyone about my side hustle since, honestly, there wasn't much to say.
Because I wasn't generating any money, I assumed no one would notice. I also didn't want the added pressure from my friends and parents. When my first viral piece went viral 18 months later, I notified my mother and sister. I couldn't stop myself from smiling.
Following that, I told my family and friends, and I resigned my work to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time writer. Because this is a unique employment in my circle, everyone is inquisitive about my earnings. It's reasonable to be interested, but it's impolite to expect a response from me. It still feels like a dream a year later, and I'm frightened I'll wake up and lose everything.
Therefore, only my parents are aware of my true earnings, while everyone else is aware of a figure that is far lower than the reality. I tell everyone a low number because I don't want to reveal the reality. My spirit is gnawed by rivalry and comparison.
Here’s what you can do:
Keep your hustles private until you absolutely have to tell everyone.
If you are not comfortable talking about money and people don’t accept a no, then don’t share the truth.
Protect your mental peace at all costs.
If you are uncomfortable discussing your money and others refuse to recognise that you do not want to discuss them, create something up.
This one-minute deception might save you hours of suffering.
4. Time Management for Extreme Procrastinators
I am the world's biggest procrastinator (I exaggerate, but there is some truth to it).
If I don't want to do anything, I'll postpone, and an incompetent writer never wants to write. You'll do all you can to postpone the act of writing. So I put off writing for more than two years, poisoning my pleasant dreams.
I'd feel like shit at the end of the day because the stress of not writing had turned me into an insomniac.
I was twisting and turning in bed for hours one night when I decided to write. I slept soundly after finishing an essay. It was the most restful sleep I'd had in a long time.
I knew I needed to stick to a routine that would help me write every day in order to build a writing habit, but I was self-aware enough to realise that I couldn't stick to a full-day schedule.
So I created a bare-bones time-blocking template that allows me to write while without interfering with my frivolous nature.
Here’s what you can do:
Time-block only two hours of the day.
Any more, and you’ll push yourself off the productivity peak.
Do the most important task of the day in those hours.
Make sure it’s related to what you told yourself before the hi-fi.
In those two hours, you can either do the task or do nothing.
This simple time-blocking practise assisted me in developing a writing habit that transformed my life. I'm not going to lie, it was challenging at first, but writing was always preferable than doing nothing.
This habit assisted me in developing a pattern that allowed me to procrastinate as well as write.
Now connect everything.
A lot can happen in six months, and if you try, you can change the course of your life in 180 days.
Start your day with a lovely (self)hi-five.
Add tidbits of movement to your day for better stress management.
Lie about your finances, if you are not comfortable talking about them.
Put the pro in procrastination with urgent time blocking.
These four adjustments helped me alter my life, so please give them a shot and let me know how it goes.
